Al-Anon Family Groups

Strength and hope for friends and families of problem drinkers
There are no dues or fees in Al-Anon and Alateen meetings. Most groups pass a basket for voluntary contributions. Al-Anon Family Groups is a spiritual fellowship, not a religious one. Al-Anon Podcast. There is a series of 10 podcasts discussing some common concerns for people who have been affected by someone else’s drinking. The podcasts vary from 7 to 18 minutes each. It is a good place to begin.

Withdrawal symptoms range from a "hangover" after an alcoholic binge to life-threatening seizures. Withdrawal is typically accompanied by a variety of symptoms, many of which can be life threatening if not dealt with in the appropriate manner. Al-Anon Survey There was an Al-Anon Membership Survey in 2009, and 1,775 members took the survey. Below is a sample of the results of the survey. It was an effort to determine the impact of the Al-Anon Family Groups program on the quality of life of the members.
